Art and creativity at Coworking Diputación 409: a look back at Julia Tarrats’ exhibition
At Coworking Diputación 409, we believe that a workspace can also be a source of inspiration. That’s why, on Wednesday 22 April, we opened our doors to the artist Julia Tarrats for an event where contemporary art took centre stage at our coworking space in Barcelona.
The exhibition brought together members of the community, guests and art lovers in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, transforming the usual rhythm of the co-working space into a shared cultural experience.
A coworking space in Barcelona where things happen
Beyond desks and meeting rooms, we want coworking to be a vibrant space where professionals from different sectors can connect through creativity, culture and shared experiences.
Events such as this exhibition are part of our approach to collaborative working: creating a stimulating, people-centred environment that is open to new perspectives.
During the evening, guests had the opportunity to explore Julia Tarrats’ work, discuss her creative process and discover the story behind a highly personal artistic project.
Julia Tarrats’ artistic vision
Julia Tarrats’ career is characterised by an unusual combination: science and art.
Trained in biochemistry and connected to the art world since childhood, her work stems from a balance between an analytical approach and a deeply aesthetic sensibility. Her creative process is rooted in observation and experimentation, translating a way of thinking influenced by the scientific method into her painting.
After years of training in drawing, painting and sculpture, he found in oil painting the ideal medium for developing his own artistic identity.
Julia is currently continuing to expand her horizons in the world of contemporary art, taking part in exhibitions and projects both locally and internationally.
Japanese inspiration, nature and visual delicacy
Much of Julia Tarrats’ recent work draws inspiration from traditional Japanese aesthetics and the pursuit of harmony found in nature.
Her goldJapan collection explores these concepts through female figures that evoke elegance, calm and subtlety. The geishas, the central figures of this series, are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, combining texture, symbolism and meticulous attention to detail.
This artistic movement has already been featured in various exhibitions, including international shows and prominent cultural venues in Barcelona.
Workspaces that foster a sense of community
Incorporating cultural activities into our coworking space is a way of enriching the daily lives of those who form part of our community.
Through exhibitions, after-work events and creative gatherings, we aim to create a space where work and culture can coexist naturally.
We believe that art within a professional setting:
- It provides new sources of inspiration
- It fosters connections between people and disciplines
- Make workspaces more people-friendly
- Support emerging and local artistic talent
Each exhibition temporarily transforms the co-working space and brings a fresh energy to it.
